The Goddess has given the Witch many symbols. One of the most feared by the Patriarchy is the black cat. I was taught to regard this beautiful animal as the most powerful of all familiars that the Witch in serving Goddess. She is mystery; she is virtue; she is intelligence; she is faith; she is focused intent; she is all that a Witch should be an more. I am grateful to Goddess for sending me this courageous and regal cat to aid me in my Craft and to remind me of the true nature of power. She is named Hecate, in honor of the Great Crone.
